YouTube has been around forever, in digital terms at least. Formed in 2005 by a trio of ex-PayPal employees, Google snapped up the company a year later.
Since then, the growth of online video (and lets face it, YouTube is synonymous with online video) has been astronomical. Rarely a month goes by without some new YouTube record being broken. The stats speak for themselves.
