Broadchurch, Victoria and Love Island prove top shows as shares dip on revenue update
ITVās profits fell sharply last year as the Broadchurch to Love Island broadcaster reported the steepest fall in TV advertising in almost a decade.
ITVās pre-tax profits fell more than 10% to Ā£500m last year as TV advertising revenue, which accounts for about half of its revenues, fell 5% to Ā£1.6bn. In 2009, ITVās TV ad revenues fall 9.4% amid the advertising recession. Its shares fell nearly 5% on the news.
